“Equinox” is the latest video from BONAPARTE, the alter ego of Berlin based producer/performer Tobias Jundt. Shot back in May, over an intensive 18 day road trip aboard an old Barbara Mandrell tour bus, the video captures the journey across changing landscapes. The trip was part of a broader program organized by a group of misfits self-dubbed , with a mission motivated by the desire to escape mass media and tune into local joy and struggle, to rediscover the lost “phoenix cities” of America – cities and towns on the edge of reinvention.
All instrumental and vocal tracks were performed by Jundt (Bonaparte), improvised onto tape layering each instrument after the other in a spontaneous one-man-band multi-track session. The video was shot and directed by , and edited by Wenjing Zhang.
